Michigan Cellphone Buyers Update
The three Arab-Americans who were caught buying a thousand cellphones in Michigan had also done the same thing in Mesquite, Texas near Dallas.
They evidently had bought in other midwestern states as well.

The problem is that cell phones are more expensive in other countries and some students have been buying them to resale to make money. Just like students use to bring blue jeans to Russia or buy electronics and cameras in Japan to bring back to the US. It should take more than buying lots of cell phones and being from the Middle East to make you a terrorist. No reason not to question them but I expect no one will ever be charged with anything - unless after a year in Gitmo without charge and non-traumatic torture someone fakes a confession to get out.

You are right, Gary. The FBI has announced that the young men have no connection to terror. It's not going to be easy to be of Arab descent and do something out of the ordinary in the US these days.
